Krantz - Atelier de înghețată
100% Romanian invention, 100% handcrafted
When goodness inspires, ideals take shape. This is how the first page of the Krantz – Atelier de înghețată story is written. It all began with three students from the Faculty of Food Science and Engineering who, together with their professor, set out—and succeeded—in reducing food waste by using whey from dairy production to create a delicious treat: artisan ice cream made from 100% natural ingredients.
Quince and plums
This is a one-of-a-kind flavor in the world. Not only for its unique taste but also because it offers a healthy and safe alternative for people with lactose intolerance
It is made with 33% sweet cream, quince, and plum pulp—fruits with low-glycemic natural sugars, rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
This innovation was awarded the gold medal at the international food innovation competition ‘Ecotrophelia Europe’ in Paris, a prestigious contest focused on sustainability in gastronomy.
Our lactose-free Quince & Plum ice cream is crafted using concentrated liquid whey, making it rich in amino acids and functional components that support the immune system.

Our pretzels are available in over 3,000 supermarket locations across the country, including Metro, Carrefour, Kaufland, Auchan, Lidl, Profi, Mega Image, Shop & Go, Supeco, Penny, Socar, T.T., Selgros, La Doi Pași, and Lukoil. They have quickly earned a reputation as a delicious snack, as proven by their steadily growing sales.
Krantz – Atelier de înghețată is present in over 200 locations, both in major supermarkets and in our own vending machines at Băneasa Mall, Sun Plaza, Shopping City Vulcan, Argeș Mall, and Iris Titan Shopping Center.
Coming soon to over 1,000 locations with major retailers nationwide, including Carrefour, Kaufland, Auchan, Lidl, Mega Image, T.T., Selgros, and HoReCa.
